Description and Mission

The Shelter is committed to the safety and empowerment of women, children and men who have been physically, sexually and/or emotionally abused.

Activities:

Direct service by individuals include Court Advocacy, Hospital Advocacy, Hotline Advocacy, Childcare Advocacy (including mentoring and tutoring opportunities). The core training is scheduled mid semester. This service opportunity meets the criteria of service-learning; however this particular service extends beyond the semester. We need up to 8 students to participate in child enrichment activities while their moms attend group sessions. Training will be 2 hours in length and will be held the week of September 15th.

Project Management, Client Counseling, Editing, Fundraising
