Description and Mission

We are the city bus service and we make it possible for our passengers to work, get an education, buy groceries, and get health care. We don't just drive people around town - we give them independence. The City of Columbia began providing commuter service to citizens on Monday, September 20, 1965. Today, an estimated ridership of 554,273 is anticipated for FY 2007. System improvements implemented by Columbia Transit to better serve the changing community have resulted in increased ridership, and we look to more improvements in the future.
