Description and Mission

We serve individuals and families dealing with Alzheimer's and related disorders (Parkinson's, Huntington's, etc). Literature and educational in-service training is provided as well as family support groups, a periodic newsletter, and a respite reimbursement program. Our annual Memory Walk (fundraiser) is held is the Fall and our annual Memory Day (advocacy in Jefferson City) is held in the Spring.

Activities:

Student can assist with health fairs, press releases, information sharing and community education programs. Business casual attire and outgoing personality with senior citizens required.

Special emphasis and skills:

Event Planning, Project Management, Public Speaking, Advocacy, Program Development, Citizen Involvement, Volunteer Development, Community Specific Research
