Description and Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. To provide young men, ages 7-10 yrs (Cub Scouts) and 11-18 yrs (Boy Scouts) with character development, outdoor adventure, and rank advancement through badge achievement program.

Activities:

Students can serve as Scout Reach volunteers at local after-school programs including Boys and Girls Club, Moving Ahead, the Intersection, Fun City and at Field, Benton, and West Boulevard Elementary Schools.

Special emphasis and skills:

Project Management, Community Organizing, Child Enrichment Activities, Event Planning, Reading Proficiency, Math Proficiency, Youth Emphasis
