Description and Mission

The Boone County Prosecuting Attorney is responsible for the enforcement of state criminal law and child support enforcement within the borders of this county. The office consists of 42 persons including 13 attorneys, 3 investigators, a victim response unit, a child support unit, a bad check unit and a delinquent tax unit together with clerical staff.

Activities:

The student can serve with the Victim Advocate and assist citizens and family members with understanding the prosecution process, the court system and how it impacts their status as a crime victim. This placement is appropriate for a capstone psychology student.

Client Counseling, Therapeutic Counseling, Advocacy, Crime Prevention, Cultural & Social Assimilation, Domestic Violence Prevention
