Description and Mission

Adult Day Connection provides adult day health care services for older adults or adult with disabling conditions and offers activities, nursing supervision, exercise, and opportunities for interpersonal interaction to participants. Respite is provided to caregivers. Students are able to interact with participants and gain valuable experience.

Activities:

Students will assist program participants with art activities, physical therapy, and serve as companions and conversation partners. Students can serve at either our campus location (capacity 4) or our off campus at the 2400 Bluff Creek Drive site (capacity of 6). We are also looking for a student who could assist us with a fundraising event for Spring 2009.

Special emphasis and skills:

Food Preparation and Serving, Reading Proficiency, Health Care Administration, Customer Service, Adaptive Art, Adaptive Recreation, Life Skills Training
