Description and Mission

The United Way of Greater St. Louis unites people of different backgrounds and interests who work together to strengthen health and human services in Missouri and Illinois. The United Way: * efficiently raises and allocates funds to support a strong network of quality agencies and services; * provides information, management and technical resources; * identifies critical issues and unmet needs; and * builds collaborations with the public and private sectors to meet those needs.

Activities:

Up to two public health students can assist the 2-1-1 United Way Resource Specialist with setting up a mechanism for 2-1-1 to assist with emergency management as well as continue to identify information re county health department services and social service agencies.

Special emphasis and skills:

__Administration, Database Creation, Educational Counseling, Community Organizing, Customer Service, Marketing, Program Development
