Description and Mission

The Innocence Project involves all four UM campuses, with the locus of activity occurring at the UMC law and journalism schools, plus the UMKC law school. Those involved--students, faculty and staff--screen requests for assistance from inmates who say they have been wrongfully convicted.

Activities:

The service learning will involve learning about the causes of wrongful convictions, followed by involvement in field work on specific cases.
