Description and Mission

Smithton is designed to meet the needs of the early adolescent utilizing the following tenets: 1) academic challenge 2) appropriate socialization opportunities 3) guided exploration 4) daily physical activity 5) advisory opportunities 6) two-year teaming

Activities:

Mentoring: Students can serve as mentors during school hours (7:30AM-3:00PM) or after school. Mentors will be matched up with one sixth grade or seventh grade student to work with throughout the semester. Tutoring: Students can serve as tutors during school hours (7:30AM-3:00PM) or after school. Tutors will be matched up with one sixth or seventh grade student to work with throughout the semester. There are also opportunities to work in the Resource Room with students during school hours. Tutoring Emphasis Areas: English (Writing and Reading) or Math
