Description and Mission

University of Missouri Extension is a partnership of the University of Missouri campuses, Lincoln University, the people of Missouri through county extension councils, and the Cooperative State Research, Education and Extension Service of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Activities:

Student will work with MU's Human Environmental Science Extension specialist to extend the local capacity of community agencies and coalition members to address healthy lifestyles, exercise, childhood obesity programming. Opportunity to work a coalition that included with City of Columbia, PedNet Coalition, MU and Columbia Public Schools.

Special emphasis and skills:

Project Management, Public Speaking, Child Enrichment Activities, Data Compilation, Advocacy, Program Development, Citizen Involvement, Community Design, Community Specific Research, Not-For-Profit Management
