Description and Mission

Rainbow House is an emergency shelter for abused and neglected children and children whose families are experiencing crisis. We serve abused and neglected children, as well as families in crises. The Shelter houses children that are in foster care; and assists parents who need placement for their children during a family crisis.

Activities:

Sol House is the first of it's kind in Columbia, a transitional living home for young people who have aged out of the foster care system or are otherwise without shelter. A single student is sought to mentor one of our young people regarding school, jobs and to do community volunteering together.

Special emphasis and skills:

Educational Counseling, Food Preparation and Serving, College Preparatory Learning Activities, Cultural & Social Assimilation, Community Development, Life Skills Training, Transitional Housing
