Description and Mission

The City of Columbia Police Department is the lead organization in the newly formed Crisis Intervention Team. Modeled on programming now in existence in St. Louis and Kansas City, the CIT will build a coalition of consumers, health care providers, agencies and law enforcement to identify mental health issues before or as they become law enforcement and judicial system issues.

Activities:

Student will assist with the training design team and assist with the projects of the executive council for the newly formed CIT coalition.
