Description and Mission

Tiger Pantry strives to provide food assistance for those in need within the University of Missouri community. We hope to change the perception of hunger on campus and to offer resources to students, faculty and staff so that they may focus on the experiences uniquely available at Mizzou. Tiger Pantry serves as an auxiliary of the Central and Northeast Missouri Food Bank, providing assistance to anyone affiliated with the university, including students, faculty, and staff. The pantry not only provides food for its clients, but also works to educate the campus on issues of food insecurity and the intersectionality of hunger.

Volunteers will package and weigh food for clients, assist them in filling out information, facilitate pantry processes, guide users on the operations of the pantry, and support collection. Volunteering with Tiger Pantry is a semester long commitment to one shift a week.
