Meals on Wheels

Partner Type

Description and Mission

Meals on Wheels is an organization committed to ending hunger among senior citizens. Each day, volunteers deliver roughly 100 meals to low-income seniors across the Mid-Missouri community, ensuring that seniors are receiving healthy and nutritious meals while also checking in on their health and well-being.

Senior hunger in America is a monumental problem. The latest research reveals 8.3 million seniors in the United States faced the threat of hunger. Looking at the people whom the numbers represent impels us to action. Because of the magnitude of the problem, we know that we cannot solve it overnight or with a single project or initiative.
