Relay for Life

Partner Type

Description and Mission

Sponsored by the American Cancer Society, each year more than 4 million people in over 20 countries take part in this global phenomenon and raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer. During a Relay event, participants and survivors celebrate what they've overcome during the Survivors Lap, we remember people lost to cancer, and honor people who have fought or are fighting cancer. Through Relay for Life, we inspire participants to take tangible action against a disease that has taken too much.

Volunteers can participate in the relay event, raise money, spread awareness, and help manage and facilitate the actual relay event when it takes place. This event occurs annually in the spring.
