Description and Mission

The mission of Great Circle is to reshape vulnerable lives through a community of partners, teachers, and leaders, giving children and families the confidence to create bright futures. Great Circle is an agency that provides a unique spectrum of behavioral health services to children and families. With specialized programs and highly-trained professionals, we provide hope to those in difficult circumstances throughout Missouri and beyond. Great Circle (Community Based Services): Our team of professionals work with parents and care takers to help alleviate the issues of the family, such as abuse and neglect that necessitated the child being placed in the custody of the state. Our belief is that if a child can be returned to safely to the home, then the best place for the child is in the home. A strength-based model that builds on a family's strengths is used to empower the family to achieve a level of change required for reunification. If a child cannot be safely reunited with its family services are provided to locate and support other permanency options such as guardianship or adoption.

Foster Care Case Management: provide case management for children in foster care. Resource Development: training, licensing and overseeing foster care families. Intensive In-home Services & Intensive Family Reunification Services: provide intensive in-home services to families in an effort to prevent the removal of children from the home as well as to provide support services to families following the removal of children from the home in an effort to reunify families whenever possible. Impact Us & Chaffee: provide support for older youth in foster care through support groups, case management and services designed to transition youth into more independent living.
