Description and Mission

The Spay Neuter Project (SNP) is a project of No Kill Columbia, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Our dream is for Columbia and Mid Missouri to be a "No-Kill" community - where our pets are not killed simply because they are homeless. In order to decrease the deaths, we must decrease the births. The SNP provides high quality, affordable spay neuter services for ALL companion animals in Mid Missouri. Our mission is to provide a non-lethal alternative to the unnecessary euthanasia of homeless pets through high quality, targeted, affordable sterilization services. We are looking for volunteers who are eager to help while gaining hands on experience in a veterinary clinic and/or with fundraising events, marketing, ect. Volunteer duties include but are not limited to; -Helping with animal check in/out. -Assisting vet techs/vet with moving animals (within the clinic). -Organizing animal crates on high intake days. -Making/answering calls (appt. reminders, etc.). -Prepping surgical tools. -General clinic and kennel maintenanc -Fundraising events, Outreach/Marketing
