Description and Mission

To help low-income individuals and families bridge the gaps between crisis and stability and improve quality of life in Boone County.


VAC provides direct aid to the community in the form of emergency assistance for prescriptions, transportation, baby items, uniforms for work, food, hygiene items, rent assistance and other basic needs. Our seasonal programs include Lunch in the Park, the Summer Fan and Air Conditioner program, Warm Up Columbia, Back to School Health Fair, Homes for Computers, and Adopt-A-Family for the Holidays.
