Description and Mission

Blue Ridge is an elementary school within the Columbia Public School system, with approximately 450 students enrolled. Located in northwest Columbia, Blue Ridge is home to many diverse learners and we have many students that speak English as their second language. Students are needed to assist with supporting students in the classroom, as well as, during lunch and recess. This is a wonderful opportunity to be a positive influence and to develop a relationship with our students.

While in the classroom students are needed to provide additional support. You may be asked to work individually with a student or a group. Our teachers will provide specific instructions on what works best for their class and schedule. We also love having student volunteers join our students during lunch and recess. During this time your are working on building relationships with students, helping them develop their social skills, and acting as a positive role model.

Special emphasis and skills:

Mentoring, Tutoring, Math Proficiency, Youth Emphasis
