Description and Mission

The Mission of the Columbia Golf Foundation is: To introduce the game of golf to kids that would not normally have access to golf, and establish a Columbia Golf Hall of Fame dedicated to individual achievment and contributions to the game. The Columbia Golf Foundation is a non-profit organization that is concerned with helping Columbia's youth grow strong in character and learn important emotional and cognitive values through the game of golf.

Service-learning students will assist in planning, scheduling, advertising, organizing, and volunteering/participating in spring/summer golf camps hosted by the Columbia Golf Foundation. The CGF hosts boys and girls golf camps teaching and exposing children the values of golf. In preparation for the camps, students will be asked to help schedule the activities of the camps, organizing the camp venues, materials and advertising campaigns within the community.
