Description and Mission

Boone Hospital Hospice is designed to help people live out their lives with comfort and dignity when it is determined that a medical cure is no longer an option. With hospice care, our focus is on maintaining quality of life by keeping patients pain free and as comfortable as possible. We have a medically-directed, multidisciplinary program of care to meet the needs of our patients and their families - physically, psychosocially, emotionally and spiritually.

Activities:

Volunteers are needed to provide respite and compassionate patient assistance with hospice patients in private homes. Volunteers will be partnered with a local patient and their family for hospice and respite care.

Special emphasis and skills:

Customer Service, Health Care Administration, Client Counseling, Patient Assistance, Delivery of Medical Care
