Columbia Second Chance can utilize volunteers during the week or on weekends, depending on the availability of the volunteer. Please contact us for more details.

Service Activities

Columbia Second Chance needs volunteers to help with dogs and cats at its Adoption Center, located 12 miles west of Columbia on Exit 111, Highway 179. Volunteers will help socialize, exercise and care for our animals, as well as help during adoption hours.

Special Criteria

Volunteers simply need to have a love of animals.

Volunteers will do one-on-one training with senior volunteer or board member. Once training is finished they will be depended upon to work unattended.
